Copterline crash

The bad weather in the local area has not only caused delays for the World Championship athletics tournament held in Helsinki, but also could have caused the commercial helicopter flight to crash into Gulf of Finland yesterday just minutes after take off. Some news coverage has been made internationally of it all the way to Australia as well. There were 12 passengers and two crew men. 2+6 from Finland, 4 from Estonia and 2 from US. All seem to have died =/

I was thinking of taking the flight someday as i've never been flying with helicopter, but i think i'll take the boat in the future. By boat it takes 100 minutes, by the helicopter only 20 minutes... nah, i'm not in that much hurry.

Sorry to hear :-/

Maybe you can take the helicopter once the weather settles down

It's quite expensive and after this =/

Awwwww

Then maybe next time you're on vacation somewhere you can find a chopper flight
I've never been on a helicopter either, I'd like to, though I've heard it's noisy |>_<|

Well, I weathers like this, I don´t know if boat is a safer than a helicopter...

At least you don't have to pay so much for getting yourself killed :D

That's our Mika, always the optimist. ;)

*cuddles all and mourns the nice people who died*

It happened a quite near to Tallinn, nearer than I thought. It was said that it happened behind Naissaar (Virgin island) which is an island in gulf of Tallinn, with old Soviet army base, but actually it happened much closer to Tallinn. Still no-one knows why it sunk so fast, but they think it might have been birds. It was said that "It's autumn and they are gathering."

There's also an issue of terrorism, but personally I think that it's not very possible. There are much better ways to get the attention.

And also I think that there's no need to avoid flights with an helicopeter. It won't probably happen again, like the robbery in my apartment.
